About the Program
What is the Last Stop Athletics Student-Athlete Enrichment & Support Program?
The Last Stop Athletics Student-Athlete Enrichment & Support Program is a structured daytime program designed for students who benefit from a flexible educational environment that combines academic support, enrichment, physical education, athletic development, leadership, and high-school preparation in one location.
Our goal is to support the development of the whole student-athlete.
Students have opportunities throughout the week to participate in:
Core academic support
Homework and independent-study support
Educational enrichment
California Standards-aligned academic support
Physical education and physical development
Strength and conditioning
Speed, agility, coordination, and movement training
Sport-specific instruction
Multi-sport activities
Leadership and character development
Goal setting and accountability
D1 Mindset: Student-Athlete Leadership
High-school and higher-level athletic preparation
Last Stop Athletics is designed to complement a student's existing educational program—not replace it.
What grades do you serve?
Our daytime Student-Athlete Enrichment & Support Program currently serves students in Grades 2–8.
Students are organized into three general developmental levels:
Foundation — Grades 2–4
Introduces academic routines, physical literacy, athletic fundamentals, confidence, teamwork, and positive learning habits.
Development — Grades 4–6
Builds academic independence, athletic fundamentals, strength, coordination, leadership, responsibility, and goal-setting skills.
High Performance / HS Prep — Grades 6–8
Prepares students for the increased academic, athletic, organizational, and personal expectations of high school.
*Because Grades 4 and 6 overlap between levels, placement is not based on grade alone. We may consider the student's academic needs, maturity, athletic experience, physical development, learning style, and individual goals when recommending placement.
What are the daytime program hours?
The daytime program operates:
Monday–Thursday
9:00 AM–1:30 PM
The program includes a 30-minute break for:
Nutrition
Hydration
Socializing
Recovery
Fun activities
A typical day includes a combination of athletic development, academic support, enrichment, leadership, and student-athlete development activities.
What does a typical day look like?
Although programming may vary, our sample daily flow is:
9:00–10:30 AM — Athletic Development
Strength and conditioning, speed and agility, athletic movement, PE activities, sport-specific development, and multi-sport training.
10:30 AM–12:00 PM — Academic Support & Enrichment
Support in core subjects, assigned schoolwork, organization, study skills, educational enrichment, and small-group instruction.
12:00–12:30 PM — Nutrition & Social Break
Nutrition, hydration, socializing, recovery, and fun activities.
12:30–1:30 PM — Academic Support, Enrichment & D1 Mindset
Continued academic support, enrichment activities, leadership development, goal setting, accountability, and our D1 Mindset: Student-Athlete Leadership curriculum.
The daily schedule may be adjusted according to student needs and programming.
Enrollment & Scheduling
What enrollment options are available?
Families may select either a 2-Day Program or 4-Day Program.
2-Day Program
Choose:
Monday & Wednesday
or
Tuesday & Thursday
$110 per week
Approximately 9 hours of scheduled on-site programming per week.
4-Day Program
Monday–Thursday
$220 per week
Up to approximately 18 hours of scheduled on-site programming per week.
Program availability is subject to enrollment capacity, student placement, staffing, and the school-year calendar.
Do we have to enroll for the entire school year?
No.
Families may be able to enroll for:
Selected weeks
Learning periods
Monthly periods
A semester
Multiple semesters
The full school year
Enrollment options are subject to available space and, for charter-school funded students, the dates and services authorized by the student's charter school.
How are shortened school weeks priced?
Our standard daytime program rate is based on:
$55 per scheduled program day.
This allows shortened weeks to be prorated when appropriate.
For example:
A normal 4-day week = $220
A 3-day scheduled week = $165
A 2-day scheduled week = $110
A 1-day scheduled week = $55
Holidays, school breaks, enrollment start dates, charter learning periods, and other calendar adjustments may affect the final amount.
For charter-funded students, the student's charter-approved service dates and authorization will determine what services may be invoiced to the school.
Paying for the Program
Can families pay for the daytime program out of pocket?
Yes.
Families do not have to participate through a charter school to enroll at Last Stop Athletics.
Private-pay enrollment is available for families including:
Homeschool families
Private-school students
District independent-study students
Traditional public-school students when scheduling permits
Families waiting for charter-school vendor approval
Families whose charter funding does not cover all requested services
Families who simply prefer to pay privately
Private-pay families may select the same available 2-Day or 4-Day daytime program options.
How much is the daytime program if I pay privately?
Our standard private-pay daytime rates are:
2-Day Program — $110/week
4-Day Program — $220/week
Our standard rate is equivalent to $55 per scheduled program day.
Families can use our Program Pricing Calculator to estimate costs based on their selected schedule, calendar, and enrollment dates.
Charter-School Educational Funding
Can charter-school educational funds be used to pay for Last Stop Athletics?
Potentially, yes.
Last Stop Athletics is actively developing partnerships and approved-vendor relationships with participating charter schools.
When Last Stop Athletics is an approved provider and the requested services are eligible under the student's charter-school program, the charter school may authorize educational funds to pay for approved services provided by Last Stop Athletics.
This may significantly reduce—or in some situations eliminate—the amount a family pays directly for approved services.
However, charter-school funding is never automatic or guaranteed.
Approval depends on factors including:
The student's charter school
Last Stop Athletics' vendor status with that school
Available student educational funding
The type of service requested
The student's educational plan
Grade level
School policies
Approved service dates
Purchase-order or service-authorization requirements
Educational Specialist or teacher approval
Charter-school administration requirements
Families should always obtain approval from their charter school before assuming that any Last Stop Athletics service will be funded.
Does Last Stop Athletics give families state educational funds?
No.
Educational funding remains under the authority and policies of the student's charter school.
When applicable, the charter school may authorize approved educational services for the student through its established vendor, purchase-order, enrichment, or service-authorization process.
In other words, families are not receiving money directly from Last Stop Athletics.
Instead, an approved charter school may authorize Last Stop Athletics to provide qualifying services to the student and pay Last Stop Athletics according to the school's approved procedures.
How does charter-school payment usually work?
Every charter school has its own procedures, but the process may look similar to this:
1. Choose your Last Stop program.
The family selects the desired 2-Day or 4-Day schedule and proposed enrollment dates.
2. Confirm that Last Stop Athletics is an approved vendor/provider.
If a partnership is still being established, our staff can provide information about our services to the charter school.
3. Contact your Education Specialist, supervising teacher, or charter-school representative.
Ask whether the requested Last Stop Athletics services qualify for educational funding.
4. Request authorization.
The charter may require a purchase order, enrichment order, instructional-funds request, service agreement, or another form of authorization.
5. Wait for approval.
Families should not assume that services are funded until approval has been received.
6. Last Stop provides the authorized services.
Services are provided according to the dates, schedule, program, and amount approved by the charter.
7. Last Stop invoices according to charter procedures.
When applicable, Last Stop Athletics works directly with the charter school for approved services.
Requirements vary by charter school.
Could my child's entire daytime program be paid for through our charter school?
Possibly.
The amount that may be covered depends entirely on the student's charter school, available educational funding, approved services, enrollment period, and authorization.
For some families, approved charter funding may cover a significant portion of the program.
For others, funding may cover only certain services, dates, classes, or portions of the program.
Other families may choose to enroll entirely through private pay.
Last Stop Athletics cannot guarantee the amount of educational funding available to an individual student.
Can I combine charter-school funding with private payment?
Yes, when permitted by the charter school.
There may be situations where a charter school authorizes only a portion of a student's requested services.
For example, a family may want a larger schedule than the charter has approved or may want additional services that are outside of the charter authorization.
When permitted, the charter-approved portion may be handled according to the school's funding process while the family privately pays for additional services.
Our staff can help families understand the difference between the school-authorized portion and the private-pay portion of their Last Stop Athletics schedule.
Should I pay first and ask my charter school to reimburse me?
Generally, families should not assume that private payments will be reimbursed by their charter school.
Before paying privately for services that you hope to have funded through a charter, contact your Education Specialist, supervising teacher, or charter-school representative and confirm the school's requirements.
Many charter schools require services to be approved before they are provided and may use a purchase order or other service authorization rather than reimbursing families afterward.
If charter authorization has not yet been received, families may still choose to enroll as private-pay participants.
What if Last Stop Athletics is not yet an approved vendor with my charter school?
Contact us.
We are actively pursuing partnerships with charter schools that serve homeschool and independent-study families.
If your charter school has a vendor-request or provider-application process, our staff may be able to provide the school with information regarding:
